Services

Tutoring, college planning, and academic support.

Every service below is part of one employer-sponsored benefit for employees' families. Families request help, keep track of next steps, and use what their employer's plan includes, all in one place.

Academic tutoring

Subject-specific help when a student needs it.

Families describe what the student is working on in a single request, and an Office Hours tutor follows up. Subject areas include math, science, English and writing, history and social studies, Spanish and Mandarin, computer science, and PSAT, SAT and ACT preparation. Sessions are arranged through the family's account and stay visible there afterward.

Who it’s for: Middle and high school students (grades 6–12)

How the tutoring benefit works

Study skills coaching

How to study, not just what to study.

Some students struggle not because the content is too hard, but because their organizational and study habits are not working. Study skills coaching addresses planning, time management, prioritization, and how to use the resources a student already has.

Two live workshops every month

Rotating college-admissions and financial-aid subjects.

Each month, Office Hours hosts two live workshops for enrolled families on rotating college-admissions and financial-aid topics, such as college-planning timelines, testing strategy, and financial-aid basics. Parents can suggest topics for future sessions. Both workshops are included in the employer-sponsored benefit.

Who it’s for: Parents and students

About the college-planning workshops

College planning

Building a college list that makes sense.

Counselors work with students to identify schools that fit their academic profile, interests, and practical constraints. The college list and related notes are kept in the family's account, so the family and counselor work from the same picture.

Essay feedback

Substantive feedback, not copyediting.

Counselors review college application essays and personal statements for content, clarity, and how well the student comes through on the page. The student remains the author, and submitted essays stay in the family's account.

Deadline and timeline planning

An organized view of what is due and when.

Families receive a deadline checklist based on the student's graduation year and can track each item's status in their account. No spreadsheet to maintain on the side.

What the benefit covers

The employer’s plan sets what is covered.

Workshops and access to the platform are included for every enrolled family. One-to-one tutoring, coaching, and counseling are covered up to the allowance the employer’s plan funds, at no cost to the family. Families who want more, or whose plan does not fund one-to-one time, can book sessions at the agreed corporate rates.

Because everything runs through one account, whoever picks up a request can see the family’s history with Office Hours: the essays already submitted, the questions already asked. Families do not need to repeat themselves.
